The guests are seated in a semi-circular arrangement, some seated at tables, others sat on their chairs facing towards the camera. Pictured is Annie Lawrence, seen in a white dress and black hat, centre right of the photograph. Also pictured is Ebenezer Howard, seen standing centre left with glasses. The image clearly shows the infamous decorative arches of the Cloisters, signed by Annie Lawrence herself in 1907, the titled handwritten "In Rememberance of the Alpha Union Gathering with best wishes from A.J Lawrence August 31 1907".
